There are multiple ways for every person to get involved here at Tulip Church of God. A few of the main avenues are listed below:
Tulip Women in God's Service (TWIGS) - The women of the church meet regularly help plan special events, coordinate meals for those who have been sick and to help meet whatever needs God places in front of them. In the past, TWIGS has coordinated women's Bible studies, conferences, vacation bible school, the church directory, Tulipfest and much more! Be sure to check the News & Events page for important dates and upcoming events, and join our TWIGS email list to receive meeting updates, announcements and prayer requests. Please email Karen Burnett with any questions or suggestions regarding TWIGS, or call the church office directly.
Outdoor Ministries - The Outdoor Ministries periodically sponsors several events such as Turkey Hunting contests, cookouts, men’s over-niters, participating in the Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry Banquet and more — all while celebrating God’s gift of the great outdoors! Please don’t forget the mission of our Outdoor Ministries. We are seeking folks who have the same passion that we have for the great outdoors, but are still not quite sure who Christ is and what He has to offer. Send folks our way. And we encourage other people from area churches to join our efforts. For more information, please contact Rodger Gooding.
Christ, Holiness and Other Stuff (CHAOS) - Imagine a small room full of sleep deprived guys, jacked up on Mountain Dew and usually sweaty from football or another game. Now, add some overly hyper teenage girls, a couple of girls with short attention spans, and you have the building blocks of CHAOS. Recently, we discussed our “mission statement as Tulip Youth Group”. There must have been twelve or fifteen suggestions, and all of those suggestions were right. We, as a group, have a lesson. We all teach each other. In her song, “The Call”, Regina Spektor says: “The word grew louder and louder until it was a battle cry.” This is our mission. Make your own battle cry. Let us help...if you are in grades 7-12, come and join us from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Sundays nights.
Children's Ministry - Our church is full of young children and we strive to teach them about Jesus in so many ways! In addition to our nursery, we offer Sunday School before church as well as Junior Church during the second half of the worship service. There are various other special child-oriented events throughout the year; and, of course, Vacation Bible School in the summer. If you would like to volunteer with our children's ministry, contact Mandy McIntosh or any of the existing teachers for more information.
